Nicolás Martínez Devia is a Partner and leads the firm’s Corporate Law, Compliance & Tax practice. He holds an LL.B. from Universidad del Rosario, a postgraduate specialization in Tax Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia, and a Master’s degree in Business, Corporate and Maritime Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands). He has over 25 years of experience advising on corporate, tax and compliance matters, as well as customs, port and international trade-related issues.

He has held senior leadership positions in the public sector, including Secretary General and Deputy Superintendent for Economic and Corporate Affairs at Colombia’s Superintendence of Companies, where he led multidisciplinary teams and drove high-impact initiatives aimed at strengthening regulatory oversight, compliance and institutional efficiency.

In private practice, he advises domestic and international companies and business families on structuring, expanding and operating their businesses in Colombia, delivering strategic legal guidance focused on risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and legal certainty throughout all stages of the business cycle.
